Go Ape Whinlatter is an outdoor high ropes adventure set in Whinlatter Forest, England's only true mountain forest, near Keswick in the Lake District. The course climbs through the treetops with zip lines, crossings and obstacles against stunning fell views. Adventures on offer include Treetop Adventure Plus (mid-level high ropes, age 6+) and Treetop Adventure (entry-level junior course for younger adventurers over 1m tall, age 4-10), plus Forest Segway rides. Set within a Forestry England site with a visitor centre cafe, toilets and baby-changing, picnic areas, play area and walking and cycling trails. Dogs welcome on site on leads (not on the course). Sessions must be booked in advance; arrival 20 minutes before your booking is recommended. Seasonal venue, typically open late winter through autumn.
