Lakeland Motor Museum houses approximately 30,000 exhibits tracing the development of road transport through the twentieth century, including over 150 classic cars, motorbikes, cycles and automobilia. The collection spans Vintage and Veteran through to Curious and Comical vehicles. There's a dedicated exhibition on the Campbell family's Bluebird speed record cars, displays on Isle of Man TT racing and Vincent motorcycles, plus what the museum describes as probably the largest collection of motoring memorabilia in the UK. Beyond the vehicles, you'll find recreated 1930s shops, a garage, a World War I display, and exhibits on local Lakeland industries and motoring history. The museum occupies a converted mill in a riverside location near Lake Windermere, with a cafe and shop on site.
