Saltholme is an RSPB wetland reserve where you can spot Common Terns, Avocets, dragonflies and moths from four wildlife viewing hides, screens and a viewing gallery in the visitor centre. A walled garden designed by gardener Chris Beardshaw blooms from early spring to mid-summer. The reserve has reedbeds, pools, wet grasslands and a meadow. Level, circular trails are pushchair and wheelchair accessible. There's a café, a wild play area and discovery zone for children, and activities including pond dipping, meadow sweeping and Saltholme Safaris.
