Flatts Lane Woodland Country Park

Flatts Lane Woodland Country Park is the perfect place to explore the countryside south of Normanby. The park is also an ideal starting point from which to visit the Eston Hills. The car park is located off Flatts Lane that runs between Normanby and the A171 Guisborough Road. Access on foot is possible from Normanby, Eston, Ormesby, Spencerbeck and Nunthorpe. The site is open all day, seven days a week. The Visitor Centre sells cold refreshments, fresh coffee, pocket money priced toys and a selection of home crafted wooden gifts. The Childrens adventure play area has a zip line, climbing frame, mud kitchen, slides, accessible swing and play house. There is also an interactive woodland trail with QR codes and wooden animal sculptures. The park is popular with families, dog walkers, cyclists and runners. A Park Run takes place every Saturday at 9am. Highlights include woodland trails, open green spaces, wildlife spotting (birds, butterflies, squirrels, deer), a nature trail, mountain bike trails, and spectacular views from Eston Nab. Free parking available on site with main and overflow car parks.
