Adventure Island is a theme park on a seven-acre site next to Southend Pier, with rides and attractions for a range of ages and heights. Named rides include Pharaoh's Fury, Axis, American Whip, Choo-Choo-Ville, Sea Dragon and Rage. Children under 120cm can ride with an adult for free. The park has undercover rides and arcades. There's a separate indoor amusement park called Funtopia included with an annual pass. Average queue time is 20 minutes even during peak hours.
