Yarak is a rural bird of prey centre set on a working farm in the Devon countryside. Its falconers run hands-on sessions in which visitors can handle and fly a range of birds, including owls, hawks, falcons and eagles, with plenty of time for questions about the birds' biology, hunting and care. The centre is not a walk-in attraction, so every experience is booked in advance, and the owners keep the birds in a quiet, low-disruption setting that suits older children and adults who are keen on wildlife. Shorter owl encounters and full-day experiences are both offered. The centre has an on-site cafe and a mix of indoor and outdoor flying areas. Children need to be at least seven years old to take part in the hands-on activities. It is a good choice for a special family outing or a birthday treat rather than a casual drop-in visit.
