What’s there
- Café on site
No vehicle access to the farm itself. The venue's contact page directs visitors to nearby car parks (the Pavilion car park and the main Totnes station car park) and a short walk along the river and across the bridge to the steam train platform.
Only facilities we’ve confirmed are listed — anything missing here we simply haven’t checked, rather than know to be absent.
A small, family-run farm on the outskirts of Totnes, set beside the South Devon Steam Railway. Its collection centres on rare and endangered breeds of farm animals, with goats, sheep, poultry and smaller animals to meet, and the farm also aims to protect British wildlife. Owls are a particular draw, and the farm runs owl talks for educational groups before a walk around the site. The site is compact, so a visit can be a relaxed hour or a longer afternoon, with a garden café overlooking the railway for a break. It suits toddlers and families with primary-age children, and school groups are welcomed with advance booking.
Questions parents ask
- Is the farm buggy and wheelchair friendly?
- Yes, the farm is fully wheelchair and buggy friendly, so you can manage with both a toddler and older child together.
- How long should we allow for a visit?
- There is no time limit. You can rush around in 30 minutes, relax for the day, or anything in between, depending on what suits your family.
- Is there somewhere to eat?
- There is a café on site. Dogs are welcome on a lead in the Garden Café, though not in the farm itself.
- Do we need to book in advance?
- There is no requirement to pre-book. Entry tickets, season passes and animal experiences can be booked online, but you can also turn up without booking.
