Becky Falls

Becky Falls is a family-run ancient woodland park set in a boulder-strewn valley on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, and it has welcomed visitors since 1903. The centrepiece is a waterfall that drops about 70 feet, reached by three colour-coded walking trails of differing difficulty. The gentler route follows the brook through oak woodland, while the others take in the main falls, a boulder scramble and lower cascades, so families can choose a stroll or a more adventurous outing. Children can follow a nature trail, and the animal area and exotic house hold meerkats, reptiles, goats and other small animals, with keeper talks through the day. A licensed woodland café and gift shop sit on site, and dogs on leads are welcome outside the animal zone. The woodland is a protected conservation site, so the paths are natural and uneven and children are expected to be supervised at all times.
