Disabled parking spaces for permit holders are directly outside the park entrance. Wheelchair hire is first come first served with a £20 refundable deposit; booking with the admissions team is recommended.

Call of the Wild Zoo is a family-run zoo in South Woodham Ferrers, set on the site of the former Tropical Wings Zoo. The collection includes lemurs, wallabies and goats, with walk-through enclosures where visitors can get close to some of the animals, and a tropical house. Keepers give talks through the day, and meet-and-feed sessions are offered for families who want a closer encounter. The zoo runs school and group visits, and home-education programmes, so it works well for learning days as well as family outings. Soft play hire and birthday parties are available for celebrations, and there are festive events in the winter season. The site is compact, so a visit suits a morning or half day. Wheelchairs and pushchairs can use most of the site, though some parts are uneven.
