Bourne Mill is a former fishing lodge from the late 1500s that later became a fulling mill and then a corn mill, and it is now looked after by the National Trust. Its working waterwheel, original machinery and historic interiors are the main draw for older children, while the grounds around the millpond offer wildlife watching, a bug hotel and a stumpery to explore. Families can picnic at the tables outside the mill and take part in the seasonal trails and events the Trust runs here. Dogs on leads are welcome in the grounds. The mill is currently closed while essential conservation work is carried out, so check the Trust's page before planning a visit.

When open, the Trust runs seasonal trails and events; the mill is a working watermill with a waterwheel.
