Upside Down House at Clacton Pavilion is a bright yellow beach house on the seafront, built on a slant so that furniture, a bed and a television appear fixed to the ceiling. It is an interactive photo attraction and illusion-style experience rather than a traditional museum: visitors walk through the rooms and pose for pictures that play with gravity. The operator describes it as suitable for all ages and says children aged three and under go free. The house is small, so a visit is usually short, and some visitors feel motion sickness because of the slant. Taller visitors may need to stoop in parts of the house. It works well as a quick, playful stop during a day out on the seafront.
