Old MacDonald's Farm is a family day out set in the countryside near South Weald, just off the M25 at junction 28. Visitors can meet farmyard favourites and rarer breeds, see a collection of exotic animals, and watch animated shows such as a chicken show. Rides are included in the admission, including a farm-themed train, tractor rides, a merry-go-round and a small roller coaster for younger riders. Children have indoor soft play for wet weather and outdoor adventure play areas, climbing and slides for fine days. There is a cafe with a seated area next to the soft play, and picnic sites are available. The farm also runs birthday parties, school and group visits with educational support, and seasonal events through the year, including Halloween and Christmas themes. It suits toddlers through to primary-age children, and the farm says it welcomes visitors with access needs.
