Lincoln Castle stands on a site of royal power and punishment across a thousand years. The Medieval Wall Walk circles the 360-degree fortifications, taking in towers and dungeons; it is partially open during maintenance works and not suitable for wheelchair users. The Victorian Prison occupies the castle with an extraordinary chapel. An original 1215 Magna Carta is on display. The castle hosts medieval events including combat demonstrations and jousting competitions. There is a cafe and gift shop on site.
Summer 10am-5pm (Apr-Oct), Winter 10am-4pm (Nov-Mar)
