PART OF THIS VENUE IS CLOSED. The Lincoln Museum building is shut for redevelopment, and the Muse Coffee Bar with it. What remains open is the USHER GALLERY, Thursday to Monday, 10am-4pm - so there is still a free art gallery to visit, but not the archaeology museum. Check lincolnmuseum.com before travelling, particularly if the children are coming for the Roman and Viking collections.
When the museum building reopens it holds Lincolnshire archaeology from prehistory through the Roman and Viking periods, alongside the Usher Gallery art collection. Entry is free to both.
