Norfolk Lavender is a working lavender farm set around an old watermill on the West Norfolk coast, and it holds a National Lavender Collection of many varieties. Families can wander the gardens and the mini lavender field, which is a pleasant place for a stroll and photos on a summer afternoon. There is an outdoor play area within the grounds for younger children, and a café called the Mill Kitchen for lunch and cakes. The farm shop and plant centre sell local produce, unusual lavenders and herbs, and products made from the farm's own oil, and the shop areas are a good place to browse when the weather turns. Distillery tours are offered at times through the year, so check ahead. The main site is free to enter and the car park is free, which makes it an easy low-cost half day. The lavender is at its most striking from late June through August.
Lavender in bloom late June to August; the site is open all year.
