Mayfields Farm is a small working farm on the edge of Themelthorpe village, near Reepham in mid Norfolk. It is owned by the Countryside Restoration Trust and run by a tenant farmer who is also a sheepdog trainer. Families visit for the open days and events held through the year, which can include working sheepdog displays, meeting the farm animals and guided evening walks looking for owls, bats and moths. The farm has grassland, hedges, young and mature trees, rough grassland and ponds, and a flock of traditional sheep breeds. Groups of children can be taught about the countryside and farming on school and youth visits. Dates for open days vary, so check the venue's website before travelling.
Events and open days run through the year on dates published by the farm.
