Langham Dome is a small museum housed in a rare wartime gunnery trainer, built in 1942 on the edge of RAF Langham. Trainees once aimed at projected targets inside the dome, and the building is now a Scheduled Ancient Monument run by a local heritage trust. Inside, families can explore displays and films about the airfield and the men and women who served there, try hands-on activities, and use a Wellington bomber radio to practise Morse code. There is an interactive model of the airfield, table-top board games about wartime missions, and a dressing-up locker. A restored Spitfire sits in the grounds. The museum suits children interested in history, aircraft and the Second World War, and parents who want a short, focused visit in a quiet rural setting. Allow about an hour for the dome itself.
