Bircham Windmill is a restored tower mill in open farmland west of Great Bircham village, a short drive from the Sandringham estate. Families can climb the five floors of the mill, see the machinery and watch the repair work that is ongoing, and look out from the top. Children can get close to animals on site, including feeding and stroking the goats. Bread-making and butter-making activities give older children a hands-on way to learn how flour was once produced, and the bakery and tearooms are free to enter. There is a windmill museum, a film room, a gift shop and a garden, and the site suits a relaxed visit with a picnic or a cream tea. The attraction is seasonal, so check the opening calendar before travelling.
Seasonal attraction, closed over the summer per the venue's site; reopening stated as 25 March 2027.
