No museum car park. The venue's site lists a pay-and-display car park at the railway station and two smaller pay-and-display car parks near the museum (one near the beach end of the High Street, one off Cliff Road).
Only facilities we’ve confirmed are listed — anything missing here we simply haven’t checked, rather than know to be absent.
A three-floor museum on the East Beach promenade telling the story of Sheringham and its fishing community. Children can climb among restored lifeboats and fishing boats, look at fishermen's ganseys and historic tools, and see fossils from the local cliffs, including bones from a prehistoric elephant. A newer Deep History Coast display introduces young visitors to Ice Age geology and the people who lived alongside mammoths. Interactive exhibits and a changing summer exhibition give families something new to see each year. A tower gives views along the coast, though the climb is steep and not suited to everyone. Pushchairs and wheelchairs can use lift access to all floors, and an accessibility guide is published. The museum is staffed mostly by volunteers and is an independent charity, so it relies on admission fees. Schools and groups can book visits and workshops.
Seasonal opening, March to October. Major exhibition each summer.
