St Seraphim's is an Orthodox pilgrim chapel in the former Walsingham railway station, which opened in 1857 and was converted into a chapel in the 1960s. Visitors can see the chapel's hand-painted icons, a porch display on the building's history, and a railway and pilgrimage display that recalls the trains which once brought pilgrims to the village. Outside, the old railway workers' garden has been turned into a quiet reflective space with views over Walsingham, which suits a slow stroll or a picnic. Guided icon tours are arranged in advance, and the museum offers a schools' object box with worksheets for Key Stages 1 and 2 on request. The site is small and calm rather than hands-on, so it suits children who enjoy old trains, churches and quiet outdoor spaces more than busy activity play.
