The Wind Energy Museum sits on a 2.5-acre site in the village of Repps with Bastwick, on the edge of the Norfolk Broads. It brings together historic wind-powered machines, including full-size wind pumps from the UK and abroad, a collection of working turbines, and demonstrations of the drainage history that shaped the Norfolk landscape. Families can watch working demonstrations, look round an indoor model museum and see a restored windmill. Children's activities are part of the offer, and a tea room provides refreshments during a visit. Guided tours are run on open days, which makes the visit a useful way to explain how wind and water once powered the countryside. The museum is largely volunteer-run and also hosts school groups and workshops.
