A working steam museum and gardens on a rural estate west of Diss. Families can ride several narrow-gauge railways through the grounds, get close to a large collection of steam locomotives in the locomotive shed, and take a turn on a restored Victorian steam gallopers roundabout. A recreated main street from the television comedy Dad's Army holds a collection of displays and vehicles, which older children and grown-ups often enjoy. The 17-acre gardens have plenty of planting and woodland paths, giving room to wander between rides. The venue notes that whistles are part of its live steam operation and offers a whistle map to visitors who find loud noises difficult, so it suits families who enjoy trains and open-air exploring. The site is run by a charity and is closed for the 2026 season apart from Christmas events, reopening in spring 2027.
