This small museum sits in the grounds of a family home in Clenchwarton, on the edge of the Norfolk fens near King's Lynn. It is run by a former Royal Navy sailor and his wife, and its two purpose-built buildings hold a large collection of naval memorabilia, mostly from the 1950s to the 1990s, with some older pieces from Victorian times. Displays include uniforms, model ships, crests, and equipment from TON Class minesweepers. Children can enjoy the hands-on side of the visit, such as using an old ship's telephone and ringing a ships' bell. Because it is a compact, personal collection rather than a large attraction, it suits a short, focused outing for families with an interest in ships, the navy or history. Visits are arranged in advance by phone.
