Chipping Agricultural Show is a traditional one-day country show held each summer on a showground at the edge of Chipping village, with Parlick Fell as its backdrop. Families come for the livestock classes, which include cattle, sheep, shire horses and ponies, along with poultry and a dog show. The main ring hosts events such as sheep racing, and there are marquees with food, crafts and a cheese show. A children's section offers craft and art classes, so younger visitors can take part as well as watch. The show is held in the Forest of Bowland, so it suits a relaxed day in the countryside with plenty of open space to walk around. Because it runs for a single day each year, check the official site for the current year's date and programme before planning a visit.
Annual one-day show held each summer; next date listed as Saturday 22 August 2026.
