Celtic Harmony Camp is an outdoor prehistory centre set in about 13 acres of native woodland in East Hertfordshire. Its reconstructed Iron Age village has thatched roundhouses that visitors can walk through, and the site also includes a Palaeolithic cave area and a Prehistory Centre with replica and real archaeological material. Families can try bushcraft, fire lighting, den building, clay pottery and cooking over an open fire, with activities aimed at children but suited to mixed ages. A woodland disc golf course gives older children and adults something more active to do. The on-site bistro serves hot food and drinks, and a shop sells souvenirs. Because most of the site is outdoors, families are advised to dress for the weather and bring wellies in wet spells. The camp also runs school trips and events, so some weekdays in term time are reserved for school groups.
Outdoor site; ground can become waterlogged in wet weather. Heated indoor areas available in cold weather.
