No on-site parking. The venue points visitors to a pay-and-display car park at Burgage Lane about a three-minute walk away, and to Ware Town Council's list of public car parks.
Only facilities we’ve confirmed are listed — anything missing here we simply haven’t checked, rather than know to be absent.
Ware Museum tells the story of life in this Hertfordshire market town from prehistoric times to the present day, spread across four galleries in a historic building on the High Street. Younger visitors can settle into an under-5s play area with puzzles and books, while older children can try on 1940s clothing and type on a manual typewriter in the World War II Ware Command Centre. Everyone can dig for treasure in the archaeological dig, follow a family activity trail through the displays, or stand on the medieval well and look down into its depths. Roman remains, medieval treasures and the town's malting and pharmaceutical history give plenty to talk about afterwards. The museum is small, so a visit suits a relaxed hour or two, and it pairs well with a stroll along the riverside and through the town centre.
