A small, interactive museum on Broadway in the centre of Letchworth, the world's first Garden City. It shows objects, photographs and displays drawn from the Garden City Collection, covering local industries, everyday life and the ideas behind the town's planning. Displays change regularly, so a return visit can reveal something new. Younger children can play at a full-size shop display with a working till, and a small market stall invites them to explore old-fashioned scents. Schools visit as part of local history study. The museum is an easy stop when combined with a walk around the town's historic streets, parks and gardens. Entry is free, and the visit suits a short outing with a family rather than a full day.
