What’s there

  • Limited parking

No easy vehicular access or parking at the centre. Pay-and-display car parks (St Katherines, Bye Street) about ten minutes' walk away; town parking limited to one hour. Blue badge bays in pay-and-display car parks and the High Street.

Only facilities we’ve confirmed are listed — anything missing here we simply haven’t checked, rather than know to be absent.

The Heritage Centre occupies the ground floor of the Old Grammar School at the top of Church Lane, a long half-timbered building that sits on the cobbled route up to the parish church. Inside, displays tell the story of the town through its buildings, its trades and the people who lived and worked there, and volunteer stewards are happy to point visitors towards the best places to see around town. Children have their own things to do: quiz sheets to complete, objects they can handle, and a Discovery Trail built around a Ledbury wool merchant with puzzles pitched at around seven years and over. The room is small and the ceilings are low, so it suits a relaxed visit of an hour or so, perhaps as a starting point before a walk around the historic streets. There is a small gift shop with local postcards and souvenirs.
