A tiny two-floor museum of local life in a timber-framed house that was dismantled and rebuilt on Church Lane. Children can look at a boot-shaped bath, Victorian costumes, glove-making tools, Civil War style helmets and breastplates from the 1645 Battle of Ledbury, and a collection of old musical instruments including a hurdy-gurdy. The house was moved twice, which gives the visit a good story to share. Upstairs is reached by a steep staircase, but a screen downstairs shows the upper-floor exhibits. Entry is free, with donations welcomed, and volunteers are happy to talk about the town's history. It suits a short stop during a walk round Ledbury rather than a full day out.
Closed for the winter from 1 October; reopening from 1 April per the venue's page.
