Redcar Racecourse is a flat racing course close to the centre of the seaside town of Redcar on the North Sea coast. It holds race meetings on a long run of days between spring and late autumn, with a mix of weekday and premier weekend and bank holiday cards. Families can watch the racing from the Grandstand Enclosure or the more relaxed Course Enclosure, which has a playground open on every race day. The racecourse runs free activity sheets for younger visitors, and the premier meetings add extra free family entertainment. Children under 18 are admitted free when accompanied by an adult, which makes it an affordable outing for a family. The site is largely flat, with tarmac paths in the Grandstand Enclosure, and the venue publishes a detailed access statement for disabled visitors.
Racing runs April to November; no racing outside those months.
