Albert Park is a 72-acre (29ha) Green Flag Award-winning public park in Middlesbrough, opened in 1868 and a much-loved spot for families. The park features a large lake with boating and fishing, a childrens playground, teenage play area, roller rink, and a boathouse. There are also landscaped gardens, a bandstand, a visitor centre, and plenty of open green space for picnics and ball games. A Parkrun takes place every Saturday at 9am, and a Junior Parkrun for 4-14 year olds every Sunday at 9am. The park is free to enter and open to the public daily.
