Nunnington Hall

Nunnington Hall is a historic manor house on the banks of the River Rye, cared for by the National Trust. Its rooms have been added to over several centuries, and the top floor holds a changing programme of art and photography exhibitions. Children often enjoy the Carlisle Collection of fully furnished miniature rooms, which show different periods in small scale, and the house has family trails and activities to follow. Outside, the organic garden has sheltered corners, spring meadows and peacocks wandering the paths, and there is a play area for younger visitors.
