Only facilities we’ve confirmed are listed — anything missing here we simply haven’t checked, rather than know to be absent.

Housed in The Folly, a Grade I listed townhouse dating from the late seventeenth century in the middle of Settle, this community museum looks at everyday life across the North Craven part of the Yorkshire Dales. Its rooms and displays follow the area's changing trades, families and buildings, and the house has been put to many uses over the centuries, which gives children plenty to puzzle over. Changing exhibitions take on art, local history and other themes, so there is usually something new to see. A coffee house on the same site serves drinks, cakes and light lunches, making it an easy stop between other Settle sights. The museum is closed for building repairs at present, so it is worth checking the venue's site before planning a trip.
