Hardraw Force is a waterfall that drops around 100 feet from a rocky overhang into a wooded ravine in Wensleydale, in the Yorkshire Dales. The walk in starts from the Heritage Centre behind the Green Dragon Inn and follows the beck through the trees to a natural amphitheatre below the fall. Families tend to enjoy the easy paths, the chance to see the water from both a lower and an upper viewpoint, and the wildlife along the way. The upper route has uneven sections and steps, so pushchairs and wheelchairs are better suited to the lower part of the walk. A small tea room and toilets operate at the entrance in the summer months. Dogs on leads are welcome. Admission is charged, with a child rate and a family ticket available. The site is best visited after rain, when the fall is at its fullest.
