Moray Motor Museum sits in the centre of Elgin in a light, airy former mill building, part of which was once used by the Bishops of Moray as a grain mill. Inside is a collection of veteran, vintage and classic cars and motorbikes, many of them kept in running order, alongside model cars and motoring memorabilia. Children tend to enjoy spotting the famous names and the older cars, and the museum is small enough to see in an hour or two. Entry includes a complimentary tea, coffee or soft drink, and the venue is run as a family business with staff who are happy to talk about the exhibits. It works well as a rainy-day stop or as part of a visit to the historic sights of Elgin.
