One designated disabled parking space adjacent to the mill; the main car park is about 100m away across two public roads, per the National Trust access statement.

White Mill is a historic corn mill beside the River Stour, part of the National Trust's Kingston Lacy estate in Dorset. Visitors join a guided tour of the mill's preserved interior, where the all-wooden gearing and milling machinery can be seen up close, and the guides explain how the building once worked. The setting is peaceful, with a footbridge over the river, a garden by the water and riverside walks, so a visit suits families who want a gentle outing with something to look at and talk about. Waymarked walks start from the mill, including a moderate route through water meadows and the village of Shapwick. The mill is seasonal and closed over winter, so families should check the National Trust page before setting out.
