The Town Mill is a restored watermill in the artisan quarter of Lyme Regis, rescued from dereliction by local volunteers and now run as a small charitable trust. Visitors can walk through all three floors of the mill at their own pace and see the working waterwheel, with volunteer millers recounting the history of the site and milling stoneground flour when the mill is running. The site also offers school and youth group visits. Around the cobbled courtyard are a microbrewery tap room, a pottery, a jewellery workshop, a seaweed art shop, a Spanish tapas restaurant and an art gallery in the Malthouse. The mill shop sells its own wholemeal flours. It suits a relaxed family visit that can be combined with a walk through Lyme Regis town centre and down to the seafront.
