No car parking on site; the museum is in the narrow Old Town streets. The venue points to the long-stay car parks at Charmouth Road and Holmbush, and a peak-season park and ride from Charmouth Road.

Dinosaurland is an independent fossil museum in the Old Town of Lyme Regis, set in a historic former congregational church. It is owned and run by a palaeontologist and holds a large collection of local Jurassic marine fossils, from tiny microfossils to large ichthyosaur skeletons, alongside a smaller group of dinosaur specimens. Exhibits are arranged across several rooms, including a geological time gallery with a timeline running up the stairs, a natural history room of present-day shells, skeletons and taxidermy, and displays of fossils from Devon. Families with older children tend to enjoy the hands-on sense of how rocks are dated and how today's wildlife connects to the fossil record, while younger visitors often move through more quickly. The museum sits close to the fossil-hunting beaches the town is known for, so a visit pairs well with a walk on the shore. The shop sells fossils and minerals.
