What’s there

  • Limited parking

Car parking is in the village: short-stay spaces in the Square and West Street, and a pay and display car park further down West Street, per the venue's Find Us page.

Only facilities we’ve confirmed are listed — anything missing here we simply haven’t checked, rather than know to be absent.

A small free museum on the ground floor of the Smallest Town Hall in England, in the village of Corfe Castle. Its displays follow the village's past from the iguanodon fossil finds and stone-age life through to the clay, stone and Purbeck marble industries that shaped the place. Exhibits and old photographs show how the village grew into what it is today. Because the rooms are compact, a visit suits a short stop, and it works well alongside a walk up to the castle ruins or around the village. Families with children who enjoy history, fossils and local stories will find something to look at, and the museum is open every day without an admission charge. Opening arrangements are set by the trust, so check its own site before travelling.
