A museum inside Blandford Camp that tells the story of the Royal Corps of Signals and the wider history of military communications, from semaphore and early wireless to Cold War cryptography. The collection includes a First World War cable wagon, a Second World War armoured command vehicle, Austin and Willys vehicles, motorcycles used for despatch and stunt displays, and radio and computer equipment. Galleries also cover the stories of wartime codebreakers, the Special Operations Executive, and animals at war, with a medal gallery for those interested in gallantry. It suits families with older children and anyone curious about military history or technology. The museum is indoors across two levels with a lift, and there is a gift shop. Guided group tours can be arranged for schools and clubs.
