Mill House Cider Museum is a small museum set in a farm building in the village of Owermoigne, close to Dorchester. Its displays bring together old cider presses and other traditional cider-making equipment, some dating back to the 18th and 19th centuries, so visitors can see how the drink was made by hand. A short video shows cider being made on the historic equipment, which suits older children who enjoy seeing how things work. Younger visitors can look for hidden fun facts placed around the displays, and a fun sheet is available for children. The attached shop sells Dorset ciders, apple juice, mead and other local produce, and there is a tasting option for adults. The visit is short and gentle, making it a simple rainy-afternoon or add-on stop for a family touring the Dorset coast.
