Acton Court is a Grade I listed Tudor house on Latteridge Road in Iron Acton, near Yate and Bristol. It was built as a courtier's house for a royal visit, and the venue describes it as one of the most original Tudor houses in Britain. Visitors can take a self-guided audio tour of the house and explore the grounds, walled garden and sundial. The venue also runs themed events such as a Tudor Jamboree and hands-on workshops, which suit older children interested in history. The house opens only for a short season each year, so families should check the website before travelling.
Open for a short season each year; the venue states the house is currently closed to the public and that details of 2027 openings will be posted later.
