The Jet Age Museum is a volunteer-run aviation museum on the north side of Gloucestershire Airport, telling the story of the county's aircraft and engine makers from the early days of flight through to the jet age. The display hall holds restored aircraft, aero engines and a range of cockpits. Children can sit in several open cockpits, including the Trident airliner and Vulcan bomber, with timed tours that are popular on busy days. There are games, puzzles and a quiz trail for younger visitors, while the engine and aircraft exhibits suit older children and adults with an interest in engineering. A café, a shop and outdoor picnic benches overlooking the runways make it easy to stay for a couple of hours. The museum is run on donations and welcomes visitors of all ages.
