Sudeley Castle & Gardens sits in the Cotswold countryside near Winchcombe. It combines a historic castle with rooms and exhibitions, a church where Queen Katherine Parr is buried, romantic ruins and ten separate gardens to wander. Families with children tend to head for the adventure play fort and assault course, and the grounds offer plenty of space to run about and explore. Guided tours and daily talks run during the season, and there are seasonal events and outdoor exhibitions across the estate. The castle interior has steep stone steps, low doorways and uneven floors, so the gardens are the easier part of the visit for pushchairs and wheelchairs. Children must be accompanied and supervised at all times, and pet dogs are not admitted to the grounds, though assistance dogs are welcome.

Open daily for the season 14 March to 1 November 2026. Closed to daytime visitors for winter; reopens March 2027.
