The remains of a large Roman villa on a hillside beside the Cotswold Way, looked after by English Heritage. Families can walk among the outlines of the rooms, see the bathhouse complex and the possible remains of a water shrine, and read information boards that explain how the villa was laid out and who lived there. Mosaic pavements are preserved inside a modern building. The ground is steep and uneven in places, so sturdy footwear is sensible. It suits older children who enjoy history and walking, and works best as a short outdoor stop alongside a countryside walk rather than a long visit.
