Arcade Archive is a museum of vintage video arcade cabinets housed in an old mill in the Cotswolds valleys. Visitors can play a large collection of restored machines from the 1970s, 1980s and early 1990s, from early classics such as Pong and Space Invaders to vector-graphic games and four-player cabinets. All of the games are free to play once you are through the door. The team on site are happy to explain the history behind each cabinet, and you can often watch machines being repaired or restored during your visit. It suits older children who enjoy gaming history, and parents who grew up with these games. It is a compact space, so a visit is usually a short, focused outing, and it can be combined with the sister museum in the same building on the same day.
