V&A East Museum is the second of the V&A's two east London sites in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, opened in April 2026 across five floors of galleries, exhibition space and event areas. Its permanent Why We Make galleries bring together more than 500 objects from many centuries and cultures, with work by Leigh Bowery and Althea McNish placed beside new east London acquisitions. The galleries were created with a youth collective, and a changing programme of exhibitions and events runs through the building, including a Thursday evening DJ residency on the upper ground floor. A landmark exhibition traces British culture through Black British music. Families can pair a visit with the V&A East Storehouse, a short walk across the park. Facilities include a cafe with children's options, a shop, free storage lockers, a buggy park, lifts to every floor and a Changing Places toilet. Some temporary exhibitions and events carry a separate charge.
