V&A East Storehouse is the V&A's working collections store, opened in 2025 inside the Here East building in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Rather than a conventional gallery, it puts a quarter of a million stored objects on view across four levels of open shelving, glass-floored walkways and small curated displays, so children can spot costumes, ceramics and furniture up close. The Weston Collections Hall holds more than a hundred mini displays to explore at your own pace, and the David Bowie Centre shows parts of his archive, including a hanging rail of costumes. Visitors can also request an object from storage to examine in a study room. There is a café, lockers for bags and coats, and a quiet room. Some exhibitions and events carry a separate charge.
