We haven’t checked this venue’s facilities yet. Give them a ring if something specific matters for your visit.

Crofton Roman Villa preserves the remains of a Roman farmhouse that was occupied from about AD 140 to 400 and stood at the centre of a large farming estate. The Open House listing describes ten rooms on view today beneath a modern cover building. The council is refurbishing the site with new interactive and educational displays, so the visitor experience is being rebuilt. It suits families interested in history, and it is a school trip destination in its own right. The site is compact, so a visit is likely to be a focused hour rather than a full day out. Public opening is not yet confirmed, so check the council page before planning a family trip.

Previously open April to October on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and some Sundays and bank holidays, but that pattern is not confirmed for the reopening.
