The museum now trades as Royal Navy Museums: Naval Aviation, although brown tourist signs on the approach roads still carry its older name. It occupies halls on the working RNAS Yeovilton air station and holds more than 90 aircraft and around 30,000 artefacts, tracing naval flying from its early days to the present. Highlights include the first British-built Concorde, which visitors can climb aboard, and an aircraft carrier experience where children can board a helicopter and tour a replica flight deck. Younger children can use a small indoor soft play space and an outdoor play area, and a café is located inside Hall One. Staff can arrange guided tours and provide ear defenders on request, and assistance dogs are welcome. Lifts and stairs link the ground and first floors.
